Lace Hair Pins

I found a great tutorial at http://alyashcreations.blogspot.com/2010/05/see-it-again-saturday-little-lace.html and I knew I had to make some! So I did...for my girls, and also for my niece who just graduated high school. Carly helped me and they turned out pretty cute, I think. We got our lace and buttons at JoAnn's. Carly and I also made the brown sugar vanilla body scrub (@ www.bystephanielynn.com) for our niece to go along with her card and cash for graduation. She loved it all - or so she said! We also made the sugar body scrub for Adam's pre-school teachers at the end of the year to go with their cards. He loved helping me mix it up for his teachers, and they were impressed!

I have been busy lately working on these cuties, and I hope you are impressed! I borrowed a friend's adorable little girl with dark hair to model these and show contrast. I think these would look super cute on a young toddler girl through a young teen girl. They are washable and also come with a super cute felted flower clip for a great price. Rosette Headband

I follow this blog: http://treyandlucy.blogspot.com/ and she recently added a rosette headband tutorial to her Etsy shop called "littlelucylu." I knew I wanted to make this for Carly and do some other stuff with it for Jayna and me. So I purchase, and here it is! However, I know the creator's looks better as she is the professional who is selling it and not me. But it was fun to make and not very hard. Just don't burn yourself with the glue gun!

All I have to say about www.princesshairstyles.com is that it's A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I would never be able to create so many different hairstyles for my girls! I am hoping Carly will continue to grow her hair out so we can try some of these...and for Jayna to get enough hair for me to do something with it. Until then, in case some of you would like to check it out, I am posting. So good luck with re-creating these unique styles!

Bows...and More Bows!

A new friend I've made recently showed me a simple way to make cute bows. I didn't feel like much crocheting or scrapping tonight...so bow-making became the event of the evening for me. I really like the way these turned out -- they are very "in season" right now. Thank you, Elizabeth Brown, for helping me learn how to make these. And by the way, my fingers were too big to hold the ribbon well and thread through them, so Brent went out in the garage and quickly put together the peg board you talked about to help me make them. It took him all of five minutes, but I still believe he's such a sweetie. Thanks for looking!
